We are proud to share that Moulins du Nil Blanc (MNB Ltd), founded by Zilipa Nyirabyago, was highlighted by The New Times Rwanda on October 6, 2025, as one of 20 green enterprises driving Rwanda’s circular food economy forward.
The coverage spotlights our dedication to a fully integrated, zero-waste value chain. Every year, we collect and process over 70 tonnes of coffee pulp and organic agricultural waste, transforming these discarded materials into a nutrient-rich growing medium for fresh oyster mushrooms.
Our cycle doesn’t end at harvest. We recycle 100% of our post-production organic waste by converting spent substrate into rich organic compost, which goes right back to local coffee farmers to enrich their soil and boost future yields.
As part of Rwanda’s nationwide effort to build sustainable food systems, we are actively seeking a $50,750 grant to expand our production capacity, create more green jobs, and bring our circular model to even more farming communities.
